“It is our desire to rediscover and learn to appreciate the wonderful spiritual heritage of this continent. It can be of great service to all of humanity”. These words were addressed by Cardinal Stanislaw Rylko, president of the Pontifical Council for the Laity, the day before the commencement of the Pan-African Congress of Catholic Laity. This Congress organised by the dicastery takes place from 4 to 9 September in Yaoundé. The text of the president’s interview with Vatican Radio can be found here in Italian, French and Polish.
