Monsignor Miguel Delgado Galindo
Monsignor Miguel Delgado was born in Barcelona, near the Basilica of the Holy Family, on May 22, 1963. Since 1985, he is a member of the Prelature of Opus Dei. He received his degree in Law from the Autonomia University of Barcelona. He attended the World Youth Day in Santiago de Compostela (1989), while he was a young lawyer, practicing law and working for the government of Catalonia. In 1991 he moved to Rome to continue his priestly studies at the Theology and Canon Law at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. In 1996 he obtained his degree in canon law. The same year he was ordained a priest in the Rome’s basilica of St. Eugene in Valle Giulia. He returned to Spain for the pastoral work, and in 1999 he was called back to Rome to collaborate with the Pontifical Council for the Laity, where he was an assistant and later was appointed Bureau Chief and Head of the Association and Ecclesial movement’s section.
Msgr. Delgado is the author of several monographs and articles published in journals of canon law.
