The John Paul II Foundation for Sport (JP2F4S)

jp2f4s_logo

The John Paul II Foundation for Sport (JP2F4S) was launched by Pope Benedict XVI during his visit to Britain in 2010. The new organisation is inspired by John Paul II’s vision for sport, which has as its primary focus the building of spiritual character through excellence in sporting skills and fitness.

JP2F4S aims to develop inner peace in individuals and thus peace in communities so as to improve the quality of life for all.

The Foundation’s objectives are varied. They include the desire to honor the memory of John Paul ll and to turn his enthusiasm for the physical and spiritual benefits of sport into a means of generating new sports facilities for the benefit of all. At the same time we want to involve as many people as possible from players to teachers, trainers, priests and parents for participation, leadership and organization.
